RIP: 1998 Fantastic Ford Escort

Oh, little blue, you were a very good friend. Some 4 years ago, I was given an amazing car for my 18th birthday. We had hunted on the internet for months for an economically-priced fella on wheels, and I was stoked when I finally had my own car.

Mexican soda cans taped to the dashboard, how joyous!

It took us to Olympia (WA's capital!), through an insane blizzard (or two, or three) and from our house to Mt.Reiner. It was a very happy piece of work, and I'm sad to announce its death on February 17, 2011. Cause of death: the beloved engine. Miss you, lil' blue...

June 2006, in my new wheels

Anyhow, before receiving news of our car's last breath, I woke up and started a nice Thursday. Me and the elliptical machine had a quick 4 mile, 41 minute date, and I dove into a bowl of green icecream for breakfast. Snacks and lunch were packed in little tupperwares with red lids, and I set out for a ride with my mamita and a new day at work.

a fantastically good read, but definitely not a quick one! this book is going to take a lot of paying attention to understand well. I'm excited!

kale, rice milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, banana, strawberries, wheat germ, flaxseed, rolled oats, sunflower seeds, grapes, vanilla

fruits, veg, sammie, bar

half sweet potato (baked) with broccoli, mexi rice, pinto beans

rainy day even though we had loads of snow warnings. bunch of lies I tell you!

heavenly plate of goods

Work was kinda rad, although all I could think about was what news I was going to be given from the car-fixing company (ie: car doctors) and how much we would need to pay to bring my car back to life. I didn't get that call 'till after work (a blessing, I tell you!) and when I was told that it would cost more to repair it then the car cost itself, we were a bit sad. But, there is nothing we can do. So we're leaving our one-less-car situation in God's hands and I'm at peace!

dinner of brussels, cabbage, liquid aminos, sesame seeds and edamame (soy beans, yo!).

drained. i kind of want my car to come back to life...

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:19-21
